On the 8th of June, UNiQUARE invited its customers, partners and long-standing friends to celebrate its 30th birthday.The weather was superb and the composition was very colourful all you need to enjoy the afternoon in Pörtschach am Wörthersee. The event started with a brief and entertaining overview of the history of UNiQUARE and the banking IT industry. After that, around 150 guests were witnesses of a sincere appreciation of the company by the mayoress of Krumpendorf Hilde Gaggl, the governor of Carinthia Dr Peter Kaiser and the president of the Carinthian Chamber of Commerce Jürgen Mandl, MBA. UNiQUARE was awarded the Golden Coin of Krumpendorf, the Carinthian Coat of Arms and the Certificate of Honour of the Austrian Chamber of Commerce.Fritz Strobl, former ski racer and Olympic champion, delighted the guests with an exciting lecture on the subject “”The mosaic of my success””. He managed to show parallels between challenges in sport and in banking. Following that, UNiQUARE had a chance to recognise the trust, reliability and innovative powers of its customers.A panel discussion was the last official part of the programme. Gabriele Semmelrock-Werzer, Spokeswoman of the Board of Kärntner Sparkasse AG (Austria), Marko BoÅ¡njak, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Slovenia (Slovenia), Hung Leong Kwok, Managing Director of Theta Service Partner (Malaysia), Rainer Schönfelder, former skier and World Cup winner, Shareholder of COOE adeo Alpin Holding and You Will Like It Investments GmbH (Austria) and Boris Grasser, Member of the Executive Board von UNiQUARE (Austria) discussed the industry developments over the last 30 years and the current outlook.In the evening, the guests enjoyed their dinner in the fantastic atmosphere of Schloss Leonstain in Pörtschach am Wörthersee.
